Something that shows how the character is not harmed and is perfect, strong, quick, smart, no problems whatsoever, et cetera."

Anne ran through the partly sun-lit forest path. She was being ambushed. "Like this isn't normal." she said aloud to herself. A zombie jumped out from the side and she slashed through it with ease.

Come on, if that doesn’t say godmodding then my name is Winn Dixie. First off, no one should decide when a supposed “thing” is to attack other then the creator, second: slashed through it with ease? No no no no no, despicable.

Here’s how it would sound better:

Running through the partly sun-lit forest path, Anne was being ambushed. “This just isn’t normal!” she said between heavy gulps of air. Passing by a particularly large tree, a decaying zombie appeared with a menacing growl. Unsheathing her sword, she put all the energy she had in slicing through its upper half, drenching herself in black ooze that had once upon a time been blood. Not much energy would be left for her to fight if another decided to attack, that meant everything needed to go to her feet...everything needed to go into her running.

There, that shows effort and a character that isn’t all indestructible.
