What to do if you get banned
What to do after a ban depends on the ban reason:
- First, check the ban reason, and see if you can see an an email address in there. If it says "to appeal, email so-and-so", then email that person. You must include your username when you do this, or you will not get a reply!
- Second, check if the ban expires. If it does expire, then you should simply wait for it to expire, and not do anything else in the meantime.
- Third, check if it says 'violation of terms of service' or 'ToS violation' in it. If it does, this ban was issued for some kind of fraud on your account, and there is nothing you can do about it except create a new account.
- If none of the above three cases apply, see the instructions below.
Angie
If you want to know why you got banned, then you should wait for the ban to expire. Once it does, you can go to your
PM inbox and read the note there.
It will explain why you got banned.
If you were permanently banned, the ban reason does not include "Coinz" and the ban was issued in error, you can contact Angie about it, using the 'Send PM' link on
her profile.
When contacting her, please note:
- You must include the username of the banned account. If you fail to do this, she will not answer at all.
- If directed to email her, send it from the email used on the account. Again, if you don't do this, or you have an invalid email on the account, she may not respond.
- Finally, be aware that if you really did break the rules, you won't be unbanned, no matter how much you beg.
- Angie is the only person who can answer ban-related questions. Roscoe, and the other admins, cannot do so.
- Again, Angie cannot help you with any ban related to Coinz, so please do not ask her about these bans.
Posting About Bans In "Site Questions"
Don't post about bans in the Site Questions forum.
If you have questions about a ban, see the above information for what to do.
If you've already contacted Angie, and she told you that you won't be unbanned, you should drop the issue, because her decision on these matters is final.
If you've already contacted Angie, but got no response, you can try again after two weeks.
