Roscoe Icon PAYMENT / CREDIT CARD ISSUES

Here is a list of common payment issues, and how to deal with them.

Issue #1: Purchase Declined, but Card Still Charged

If your credit card purchase is declined, there is a chance that your bank may hold an "authorization" on your card.

Although this isn't a charge, it can look like one when you are using online banking to view your account statement.

To be absolutely clear: authorizations like this are temporary, and will automatically disappear from your statement within 5 days. During the time they are there, they lower your account balance, but once they disappear, your balance goes back to normal.

So, if you have an authorization for $5.95, your credit card statement will show -$5.95 for up to five days, before it disappears. Once it disappears, though, your balance will return to normal.

So, if you think that Meez has charged your card by mistake, you should wait for 5 days to see if the charge disappears by itself.

If it does not disappear after 5 days, then you can contact Roscoe using this link to discuss the charge.

Please wait 5 days before contacting Roscoe, though, since almost all odd "charges" are really authorizations which disappear by themselves within 5 days.

Issue #2: Declined - "too many failed purchase attempts"

Sometimes, when attempting a purchase, you may get this error:

failed purchases error wrote:

Your purchase has been denied due to too many failed purchase attempts. If you have questions about your transaction please Contact Us.
If you do, then wait awhile, and try again.
If you still get the error, you can use the contact us link to ask Roscoe about it.

Issue #3: Declined - please check your bank details

If your purchase is rejected with a "check your card/bank details" error, please go and check ALL of your identity and card details.
This includes your billing name and address, as well as all the details on the card.
Be sure to get these details exactly right, even a small typo can stop the transaction going through.

Issue #4: Unable to update Card Info

If you are trying to save a new credit card on your account, but are unable to do so, here is what you should do:
  1. Try again.
  2. If that doesn't work, contact me from the email associated with the account, and ask me to deactivate your credit card.
  3. Once I email back and tell you this is done, you should be able to re-enter your credit card information with no problems.
  4. If this is not the case, you should contact Roscoe here, and he can look into the situation further.
