This hair style is a chunk highlighted, spiked shag cut worn by Nikki Sixx when he was in the band Brides of Destruction.
The colored sections are not tips... They are long streaks. And the cut is not short, it covers his collar. I believe this style would look equally good on females as it would males.
I would like to request that this hairstyle be made available for both sexes.
The red portion would be changeable to other colors.

BTW... I am soooo loving that jacket he has on in the first pic!

Here is a pretty good shot of the back of his head. Unfortunately his hair is wet from sweating onstage. But it shows that the chunks are in the back too
