Nice tutorial,but it never works for me.It always is black inside.
For example I choosed a purple circle like you.I did everything like you said.And at the end it's black inside,the purple color just disapears D:

Maybe it's because you didn't duplicate the layer? Or you didn't adjust the layer order?

When you opened up a new image, did you make it transparent?
Windows > recently closed windows.
On the lays channel, just delete the black background and adjust the layer levels.
Read the tutorial again, pay special attention to the last step with the layers. Compaire your layers to mine. (the last step is how the layers SHOULD be adjusted.)
