I'm going to show you how to make and eye look some what real in gimp today. Here are the steps with pictures to help you. You will need gimp, and circle fuzzy brushes which i believe come with gimp, you can also use regular circles.

I'm going to use this image of a friend of mine.

step1- get a shot of your meez and paste in paint, crop however you want and save as a PNG. This helps the quality of the picture.

step2- open gimp and zoom in on the eye. (please do one eye at a time) make it fairly large so you can see detail.

step3- take the fuzzy slect tool (it looks like a wand) and select the color around the pupil. Hold shift while doing this for multiple selects.

step4- take the paint brush and take similar colors and shades and other colors that go along with it and use the paint brush in the selected are like so(I recomend using colors side by side on the color wheel. For example blue and purple, avoid blue and orange, this will make the color look very gross.)

step5- keep that selected! Go to filters->blur->guassin blur.

your eye should look similar to this depending on what colors you used.

step6- now take the doge/burn tool and make small doge lines, then slect burn and burn the eye as well.

step 7- go to select-> all. This alows you to edit around the eye and not just in it.

step8- now go into brushes and select a circle brush, i recomend the fuzzy cicle brushes. This add a light glare to your eye.

step9- blur the makeup or eyelid. Do not blur the iris that we were working on. This bluring help it look smoother.

step10(no pictures)- upload to photobucket and copy the IMG code and post it here on meez in the right forum.

now your eye is done! You can also edit things such as skin, lips, hair, ears, piercings too.
