This is a follow-up to my last tutorial, on how to make a siggy. HOW TO MAKE A BACKGROUND PART ONE: Simple and Easy! 1. Open GIMP. 2. Make your page whatever size you want (I'm using 600 by 400) The background: The one from the first tutorial. 3. Make it whatever colour you want. I'll make it blue. ![]() 4. Go to the paintbrush tool, and choose two new colours to be added on to your background. Remember to have the settings shown, to have the "bunch of dots" looks. (You can also change the type of brush, like i did, but in this pic it shows the regular one. I changed it afterwards) ![]() 5. Now hold your clicker down, and move it around the area, and you'll see that a bunch of dots will go all over the place. Let go when it’s the way you want it. Mine didn’t come out good at the size i suggested, so you don’t have to do that size![]() ![]() And there you go! A simple background... Now for a harder one... The background: Harder, but cooler. 3. Fill it with whatever colour you want. I'm using black. ![]() 4. At the top, click filters, then render, then nature, then flame... ![]() 5. A pop up will come up, and then there will be a preview of what the background will look like. You can change it by clicking edit, and clicking new designs. There is something called variation, and you click that to get different designs. There is also something that will let you change the colour, as shown: (I didn’t use these settings) ![]() 6. When you have all the settings you want, click okay, and after its done applying, you have an awesome background! ![]() Hope I helped! | |||||||
