Default Working With Gimp(Tons of info, more to come) Feedback & Questions here please?

Links you will need to work with Gimp:
Gimp: SourceForge.net: GTK+ and The GIMP installers for Windows: Downloading ...
Photobucket signup: Register for free at Photobucket.com

Now let's start by using your own closeup.

Making Your Own Closeup:
Step 1: Go to the meezmaker. Create an outfit, but don't save it, you don't need to save. You can put on any article, without paying!

Step 2: Once your reading to freeze the image, press Print Screen. (It may look like Print Screen, SysRq, or Print Screen SysRq.) Then go onto paint and crop the image.

Step 3: Save the image, and upload it to Photobucket by going to 'My Albums', then 'Choose Files'. Select the image in your pictures and click upload.

Step 4: Once your image is uploaded, name it and return to album. Hover your mouse over the image, and right click in the IMG Code box. Copy. Go to the thread your posting this and Paste in the post.
OR
Open up Gimp, open image and resize to fit your screen.

Editing in Gimp Program:
Smoothing/Texturizing Hair
SmoothingTo texturize follow these steps and then the texturizing steps, too.)
Step 1: Open up your image(File, Open). Select the 'Smudge Tool'. And select your brush size.

Step 2: Click and drag across the hair to smooth it. Do not go off the hair!! This should be the smoothing end result: (You are not done if you are trying to texturize.)

TexturizingFor texturizing, follow smoothing steps and continue into these steps.)
Step 3: Use the Color Picker Tool to select the color of the hair(click the hair after selecting this tool.) Then go to the Paintbrush Tool and select the first color. Click a darker shade on the box with 3 shades of black, white, and the color of your hair. Create a lot of lines on your meez's hair like this:

Step 4: Do the same thing with the color, but select a lighter shade of your meez's hair color. Then create a lot of lines on the hair.
*Tip!:It is okay if you cannot see the lines on you hair in some spots. It is not okay if you cannot see them anywhere.

Step 5: Use the Smudge Tool and Smudge like we did to smooth it.
*Tip!: Don't forget to go back to your preferable brush size for smoothing.

Editing Your Meez's Lips
Step 1: Use the color dropper and click inside your meez's lips. Then, go to the paintbrush tool and select an appropriate size brush for your meez's lips. Start coloring inside your meez's lips.
*Tip!:Leave the outside dark "liner" alone. Only color the lips and the line in between.
*Tip!:If your hand isn't steady yet, try clicking the spaces needing to be painted once at a time, so if you mess up you only have to delete a small space.

Step 2: Use the color dropper to select the dark "liner" of the lips. Then, go to paintbrush tool, select the smallest brush and go around the outside lips bit by bit. When your done the outside, do a single line across the lips where they meet.

Editing Your Meez's Eyes
Step 1: Create a new layer on the box to the right of your image. Under the box with the image of your meez and background beside it there are buttons. Click the one that is a dog-eared page. Name this layer eyes.
Step 2: Use the Fuzzy Select Tool to select the inside of your meez's eyes, like so.

Step 3: Use the Color Picker Tool to select your meez's eye color. Then, select a darker color to paint on the inside of your selected fuzzy area. (Use the second smallest brush.) Do the outside. Then select a lighter shade and do beside that. Go lighter and lighter until you cant go farther. It should look like this. After this, do each quarter of both eyes.

Step 4: Use the select fuzzy tool, to click outside of your image. Then go to Filters, Blur, Gaussian Blur. Set it to 5.0.

Step 5. Go to the Dodge/Burn Tool. Select Dodge and the smallest brush. Start making lines out from the iris. After the whole way around, do the same thing with Burn. Repeat that two more times. Then burn the whole eye.

Smoothing Skin:
Step 1: Take the smudge tool, and brush it all over your meez's skin
Adding a Background:
Step 1:Using the Fuzzy Select Tool, select the background of your meez.

Step 2: Go to Patterns near the bottom right corner. Click and drag a pattern to the white space around your meez. Fill in all white spots.
OR
Go to Blend Tool. Select your favorite gradient. Click and drag a line from your top right corner to bottom left corner.

Glossing Your Meez's Lips
Step 1: Using the Color Picker Tool, select the color of your lips. Go to the foreground color to change it, and make it a whiter shade of your lips. Then, using the paintbrush tool to draw a thinner line across your bottom lip.
(I had to save and exit for my mom. L0l. I'll finish l8r today.)

Ok...calm downn....
1) You must explain to me the color pixel thing you are talking about...
2) Do you mean like rainbow eyes?
3) Do you want a gradient or a pattern? A pattern is the one I chose to take a picture of for the tutorial.
