Default Simple Siggy (using GIMP)

Alright, this time im going to show you how to make a basic siggy in GIMP, now remember you need to be at level 30 or VIP to have one. Also, you can download GIMP for free and its safe
Now what you do first is, get a screen shot of your avatar, dress your avatar in any way you desire. Now once you have your screenshot, open up GIMP, and go up to file>New, and make it about 400 pixels by 200 pixels. Then go to File>Open, and open up your screenshot of your avatar.

Now for the fun part, color your 400x 200 canvas any color you desire(you can use the brush or the paint bucket) After you color it, create a new layer, go to Layer>New Layer.

Now on your newly made layer, get a small brush, any size you desire, and draw any kind of deisgn, it could be squigly lines, or circles. For this i drew lines. Now to give it some effect, go up to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur. Now blur it to your desire.

Now, Create a new layer just like before. Grab a cool effect brush. For this im using scratch brushes, and just randomly draw in some designs in any color you want.

Now to merge your layers, go to the arrow at the top right of your layers palate, and go to Layers menu>Merge Visible Layers.

Okay now get your avatar image back out, and erase all the white in the background. Now right click on the image. And select Edt> Copy now over on your colored canvase, go to Edt> Paste, and just move your avatar around to were you want it.

And TADA!! You have a simple siggy. Now you can add Text to this, or add more special effect brushes if you wish

use the select tool (the one that looks like the wand) and just click on the white parts and get your eraser and erase it away.
