"Now, tell me." The officer murmured to the fragile girl in the cold plastic chair, "When did you last see her?" His voice was soft and soothing, other than the other cop who scoffed in the wet bricked corner. The swinging lamp over top the girls head swung sideways, flickering, giving the interrogation room a spooky effect. The girl placed her fumbling hands on the dark wooden table, and then she looked up from the shelter of her long black hair. It shocked the cops at what they saw. Her eyes, they were a scary light grey; almost white as was her face which held a haunting expression.
"Last year..by the lake at around midnight with the whole crew. We planned this and we wanted to have fun." She pulled her black hair over her ear and then looked down again. "Nobody would want to hurt Shelby! Nobody!" As the "good cop" sighed and patted her head, he took out photos from a file. He placed five of them, one by one, right next to eachother, on the table across from her. Each of them held a dead girl, bloody and ragged on a grassy floor. Just miles from the lake but protected from covers and covers of trees and bushes. The cop said the girls name, Maya, and told her to look.
The girl had fair blonde hair and wide opened hazel eyes. In the dephs of them was fear and bravery. She had been fighting for her life. The girl's blouse was ripped open, her chest holding a gaping wound that was larger than her head, blood pooled around it. Her beautiful face was almost covered in the thick scarlett substance.
"Rose!" Maya cried and clutched at one of the pictures. "No, Rose! Why Rose, why? Why couldn't- you- stay? Rose!" She sobbed at clutched at the pictures to her chest, her tears flooding them like a river. Threw her sobs she talked. "I told you Rose! I TOLD YOU! You shouldn't have seen him! Rose look at what you got your self in to!" And with that, Maya continued to cry.




Rose smiled at the beautiful day ahead of her, looking out of her large window in her dorm room. As her friend, Maya, shuffled to get ready Rose just sighed and continued to humm songs in her head.
"Rose, you need to get ready! We have a class to get to, you know." Maya called from the bathroom. Her long black hair was in a professional high pony tail and her grey-white eyes were blurry.
"Oh, I know." Rose smiled at her friend and began to get ready. She put on nice boot cut jeans and a warm brown sweater, and finished it with nice black boots her grandmom made for her. "Do you know where my grandmother's pin is to put in my hair? The one with the butterfly?"
Rose always wore her grandmothers stuff, what she made or what she had before she died. And of course, she wore what her mother sewed her also.
"Yes, I think it's on your desk." Maya's voice was muffled as the blow dryer droned.
"Okay! Thanks!" Rose skipped to her desk happily, saw the antique butterfly pin with pink blue and green, and put it in her hair happily. "I'm ready."
"As am I!" Maya giggled, posing in the doorway.

All over television and theaters are different types of ghost stories. Even the animal planet has their take about it. It's about how animals respond to ghost. The new fade must be ghost now. I've always been into the paranormal so it doesn't really bother me. It's well written and starts off good. Continue...

"Did you know this boys' name?" Officer Buck said as he rubbed his temples. This snob in the chair across from him was getting on his nerves. Obviously, this girl was popular in highschool, middle school, and now college.
"Ahv-course nawt, nobody did or does." Macey McKenstar rolled her baby blue eyes and fluffed her already fluffy beach blonde hair that curled at the tips dramatically. "Why waist time on an outcast? Ta-otally not for me!" Macey sighed and leaned back on her chair, showing off her developed chest that was slightly covered by a peach colored sweater. Her tight jeaned covered butt scooted in the chair as she picked up her chin a bit.
"Ever thought about dating?" Macey cooned and her maniucred finger nail placed it'sself on the Officer's chin.
"Let's stick to the subject," Officer growled and tore his chin from the hold. Macey just sighed and rolled her blue eyes again. She could be shopping right now.
"I only know one thing about that loser, I found a note that he wrote that was at his locker." Macey rummaged in her coach bag for it, "I knew it would be of SOME use, but I think I through it out." Flipped her hair again, "But I remember what it said."
"What did it say?" Officer asked in a harsh tone.
"'The mind can't be protected forever'."

"Rose," Maya groaned and giggled as Rose continued to sit on her lap at lunch outside. Maya's hair gleamed in the sunlight and Rose smiled at her friend in genuine warmth.
"Where's Macey?" Rose asked out of no where, her head craned everywhere to look.
"I don't see why you hang out with her, she's a complete snob that rules the entire campus!" Maya pushed Rose off of her, and crossed her arms. Since she didn't turn around, Maya sighed over dramatically.
"Macey is very very nice deep down, but only I can see that." Rose flashed a grin at her friend, "Now stop being a baby!"
"I'll stop being a baby when I want to," Maya grumbled to herself and looked away.

"Is it me, or do I smell loser? Nobody said she'd be on the menu tonight." A stuck up voice called out. Rose turned her head and there was the gorgeous Macey and her crew. She looked more stunning than ever, her blonde hair framed her face perfectly and those pretty blue eyes sparkled in amusement and scorn.
Her lackies both had dyed blond hair and green cat eyes. They were twins that wanted to be exactly like Macey.
"Oh, Macey." Rose laughed and ran up to hug her, "How are you? Sit down." Rose released the Macey who didn't hug her back, and sat down; patting a seat.
"No thanks, Moze, I don't sit with losers on my other side." Macey flashed a look at Maya, and then smiled bitterly at Rose.
"Her name is Rose- some of a-" Maya began walked towards Macey, but Rose of course got in the way.
"Stop!" She interrupted, "Macey, Maya isn't a loser. And my name isn't Moze, it's Rose."
"Are you sure it isn't Moze? Chew on it, tell me what you think tomorrow! Come on girls." Macey snapped her fingers and they were out.

"Didn't I tell you they were snobs?" Maya asked and sniffed.
"I didn't notice."
