| CHAPTER FOUR- PART THREE "Honest to god, Jill, what were you thinking?" I could hear Jill's mother saying as they were leaving, "Do you REALIZE what could have happened to you?" Wow, she was a lot calmer than Aunt Viv... "Katie? Katie...? KATIE!?" I hadnt realized my aunt had been trying to speak with me, too lost in my thoughts, I guess. Sigh. "Yes?" "Look, Katie, I know how much you miss her-" That did it. "NO, okay? You do NOT know how much I miss her! You're a heartless, mean old WACKO!!!" Once saying that, I guess I kinda felt bad. She just laughed. "Okay, okay. I can understand how you feel. I had a friend move away once, we were like sisters. And even though she never lived with my family, she was my only true friend, she was there for me through everything." tears were welling in her eyes. "I haven't seen her in fourty years, but we still write letters, and talk on the telephone." I just stared at her, trying to think of what to say. "Well, why did you hide the letters from me, then?" "I'm not Nikki's biggest fan, Katie, but it was still wrong of me to hide them. I'm truly sorry." For the first time, Aunt Viv smiled, a real, genuine smile. "If you don't mind, I'd really like to just start all over." "I'd really like that, too." After talking for a bit longer, we both decided to go to bed. "Good night, Katie." "Night, Aunt Viv." Maybe things could only go up from here...
