Secret Impressions was reported. So it's no more. I'm sorry. [This has a slow start, but it picks up I promise] My house was unbearably neat. Every picture on the wall was to the point straight. Every picture of a kid that wasn't me. As for me I had no pictures in this house. I wasn't sure I ever had a childhood. I just remember now and now wasn't anything special. The carpet on the floor was too white. Bleached after every footprint it looked like. Steamed after every hour. I was over exaggerating yes but the fact of how white it was made someone wonder how it got that way. The railing on the stairs shown my reflection as clear as my mirror did. As I ran my hand down it while I walked down the stairs I could see my hand in the railing. I could see the light but darker than most people around here ridges in my hands and wrist. I could see how my hand looked to something other than my eyes, and I wasn't impressed. The area was brightly lit by the chandelier that flowered over the entrance area of my house. It was a massive metal painted hanging that looked expensive. It wasn't overly bright but the chandelier itself made me wonder how the lights never burnt out. They always were lit. The dining room was sparkling clean. Another thing in the house that was cleaned after human touch. The china cabinet held over thirty places I was sure. It stretched the whole south wall. I’d never seen them out of the case but they didn’t have any dust on them. Windows looked out on the property on the west wall. The dining room I was sure could hold forty people or so but I had never seen more than four eat at it. That was never at one time either. The table was set all except for the end. Where I was to eat breakfast. A woman in a white and black maid outfit stood next to the door to the kitchen. A place I had never been in. A place I don’t think I was allowed to go in. She smiled and told me good morning. I grunted at her and sat down. If someone had grunted at me I would get mad but she just stood there and smiled. It made me want to throw something at her. It made me want to yell in her face to not be kind. But I didn't. I sat still in my chair and picked up the fork next to my play. The way she stood there still and watching me was creepy. Watching to see if I needed more to drink or eat or if everything was in line. Watching the back of my head like a hawk, a nice, smothering hawk.

| Breakfast was an egg omelet with cheese and bacon. Typically my favorite. A meal fit for a king. A meal served to me. I wasn't a king and I wasn't even sure if kings still ran countries but I know they used to and I was sure they would eat as I am eating. It never tasted bad and always left me full. If I was to be treated as a king I guess it has met the goal. The time was nearing for me to go to school. As I stepped outside I sighed. The grounds that surrounded my house looked like the ones you see in the movies. Nice and kept. Vast and spacious. I never stepped out on the grounds if I could help it. It's not that I wasn't allowed, I just didn't want to mess up the grass. In the backyard there was a garden the size of the one that used to be in a palace in England in the twenty first century. The lady who calls herself my mom had it built in replica. I stepped through those often. They gave me a sense of calmness. I guess a queen would say that. Then again I didn't know anything on kings and queens. My driver pulled up and rolled his window down. Told me if we didn't hurry I would be late to school. Being late would mean nothing to me. I didn't care and I could have yelled at him I didn't want to and ran off. No one would find me if I went into the gardens. I got into the limo and closed the door. It was roomy and I still had to wait for Kaleb but he was a bratty kid who just so happened to call himself my brother. We looked nothing alike. He was a year older than me. He had blond hair and deep blue eyes. He had a strong muscle build and was the pride of everyone. Of course we were complete opposites, aren't most siblings? Kaleb rushed his way to the limo and jumped in. His hair was a mess and out of line. I was sure his mother had not seen him this morning. He must have run out of the house. "What are you looking at?" he asked in a sarcastic tone. Your ugly face and how you are ruthless and stupid, I thought. I could have said that. He would have been mad but it would leave him ashamed. I shrugged. I did not need any confrontations with him. I looked out the window and watched the trees fly by and sighed. They really weren't flying and neither were we. That was proven to be unrealistic around 2187. The speed of the car was going so fast the trees weren't in my vision for too long. I overlooked everything and never stopped to smell the roses. I was told they didn't smell good anyways. I was sure there was a simpler way to escape this place. Just tell everyone who I really am, but I could not do that. That was stepping out of the line. That was somewhere I did not go.
